Welcome to Monageer Grotto
Welcome to Monageer Grotto just 9km from Enniscorthy in Co Wexford.
Spend some time in this peaceful place where you can enjoy the fully accessible sensory walk with wheelchair accessible picnic areas as well as a woodland walk where wildlife and fairies abound. A Marian shrine occupies a prominent position on the 3.5 acre site.
This amenity exists as a result of the voluntary work of Monageer Parish Grotto Group with the help and support of all the local community.
Things to see and do
Sensory Path
Enjoy the therapeutic sensory path which is designed to stimulate the five senses: sight, smell, touch, taste, and hearing. Both adults and children alike can benefit from this as sensory stimulation
Shrine
Monageer Grotto has been a place for peaceful reflection since it was first opened in 1965. The statue of Mary and the infant Jesus, made from Carrara marble, looks down from her position high on the rock face.

Surround yourself with beautiful flowers and trees, enjoy the woodland and sensory walks, relax by the shrine or enjoy a picnic.
